The course will introduce students to both computer hardware and software concepts.

• Identifying proper procedures for installing and configuring system components and devices
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting both hardware and software problems.
• Identify hardware components, safety procedures, environmental hazards.
• Preventative maintenance techniques.
• Define basic networking concepts.
• Install MS-DOS, Windows 98 and Windows 2000 Professional.
• Define components of the Windows and DOS architecture.
• Establish a Windows 98 and Windows 2000 network.
• Install and manage a network and local printer.
